Privacy

PlantingZoneMap.com is operated by Digital Dynamics Kft., 2724 Újlengyel, Nyári Pál utca 15., Hungary (EU), tax number 32509072-1-13, e-mail info@digitaldynamics.hu. We are the controller for the little data described here.

No accounts, no cookies

You can use the whole site without an account, and we set no cookies. We don't ask for your name, e-mail or address.

“Use my location”

If you press the button, your browser asks for permission and gives your position to the page. It is used only in your browser to find the nearest ZIP code; it is never sent to us or stored.

Visit counting

We count page views in two cookieless ways. (1) Analyzza, an EU analytics tool that stores no personal data and no IP addresses. (2) Our own counter, which keeps a random identifier in your browser's local storage that is replaced every day; we use it only to count daily unique visitors and never link it to a person. Our web server also writes technical logs (page requested, time, browser type) without IP addresses, to run and protect the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Map tiles, fonts and the frost forecast

Maps, tiles and fonts are served from our own servers in the EU; no third-party map, font or advertising service sees your visit. The live frost forecast on ZIP and city pages is requested by your browser directly from the U.S. National Weather Service (api.weather.gov); that request contains the page's ZIP-code location and, like any web request, your IP address, and is governed by weather.gov's own policies. We do not receive it.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection, and complain to the Hungarian data-protection authority (NAIH, naih.hu) or the authority in your country. Requests: info@digitaldynamics.hu; we answer within one month (GDPR Art. 12(3)).

We do not sell data and use no advertising trackers at this time. If that changes, this page will say so first.
